NRF Foundation Scholarship Programs

Ray Greenly Scholarship
Ray Greenly was Vice President of Research and Member Services for Shop.org, the digital division of the National Retail Federation, before losing a year-long fight with cancer in the fall of 2005. The Ray Greenly Scholarship provides financial support to students who have the potential to succeed in a retail career; especially in fields most relevant to digital retail such as marketing, ecommerce, computer science, advertising, business, graphic design, engineering, journalism, IT, etc.

NRF and a panel of retail executive judges are searching for students across the country that have the creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and forward-thinking to create new ways to connect retail customers to brands and products.

Recipients will be ambitious, curious, adaptable and have the potential to impact the future of digital retail. Students do not have to be in a retail program or major to apply, but should be able to explain how their chosen major is relevant to digital retail.

Do you have what it takes to be a Ray Greenly scholar? This scholarship is open to any student who will be enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate or a graduate student at any U.S. college or university in October 2014.

Next Generation Scholarship
As a part of the National Retail Federation’s overall scholarship initiatives, the NRF Foundation created the Next Generation Scholarship to recognize outstanding students currently pursuing retail careers at NRF Foundation partner schools who have the skills, insights and interest to be successful in the retail industry. This scholarship program will be the pinnacle achievement for students who are interested in being recognized by the retail community.

Schools must be a current NRF Foundation University partner in order to nominate a student. The partner school’s authorized representative is responsible for determining which student to nominate. Only one student can be nominated per school per year.

The NRF Foundation and a panel of retail executive judges are searching for the best, highest performing students who demonstrate a passion for retail and a unique, innovative perspective on our industry. Recipients will be ambitious, adaptable and have the potential to impact the future of retail.
